📅 Itinerary Overview
Day 0 (Arrival):
Arrive in Srinagar, stay overnight to acclimatize.
Day 1: Srinagar → Doodhpathri → Marak (10,540 ft)
Drive ~42 km (2 hrs). Begin trek: cross Shaliganga River, ascend through pine/deodar forests to the meadow campsite at Marak
Day 2: Marak → Kooterlass (11,850 ft)
Ascend ridge, descend to stream-crossed meadow campsite spots at Kooterlass
Day 3: Kooterlass → Damamsar (13,226 ft) → back to Kooterlass
Short day: trek to Damamsar alpine lake & return to Kooterlass
Day 4: Kooterlass → Ashtaar (11,576 ft)
Move into Ashtaar valley featuring lush meadows.
Day 5: Ashtaar → Mujakhani (9,754 ft)
Descend through rolling terrain to Mujakhani.
Day 6: Mujakhani → Tosa Maidan → Srinagar (~8 km trek + drive)
End trek at expansive Tosa Maidan; drive back to Srinagar (via Sitaran)
